Eğer (fog)(x) söz konusu ise, f(x) fonksiyonunda 'x' gördüğümüz yere g(x)'i yazmamız gerekir. Hep bu yoldan gideceğiz, kolay bir konudur.

f(x)=5x-4

g(x)=3x-2 ise,

(fog)(x) = $5.(3x-2) -4$

$= 15 x -10 - 4$
$=15x-14$

(gof)(x) = $3(5x-4) -2$

$= 15x -12 - 2$
$=15x - 14$

(fof)(x) Burada ise f(x) fonkiyonunda x gördüğümüz yere yine fx) fonksiyonunun kendisini yazacağız.
