Folosim "Can't " când vrem să spunem că Eu nu pot/Tu nu poţi/El nu poate/Ea nu poate

Folosim "Could" când vrem să spunem Eu aş putea/Tu ai putea/ El ar pute/Ea ar putea
ex.I could read a book

Folosim "Couldn't" când vrem să spunem că Eu nu as putea/Tu nu ai putea/ El nu ar putea/Ea nu ar putea
ex.Este tot acelaşi ca şi la could dar înlocuim "could" ----> "couldn't"
